The proposal is oriented to:

- Creating opportunities to the development of cultural, social, political and economic potentials, by means of a physical and social environment that supports those initiatives.

- Calling for community cooperation in order to develop feelings of belonging and citizenship.

- Providing self-sufficient park with low-cost services infrastructure using ecological tools and permanent maintenance.

- Creating a recreation model with varieties and alternatives of development through the time.

The I.D.R.D., City Recreation and Sports Institute, as a public entity and "Fundación Compartir" as a private company, a contest for the Architectonic and Landscape Master Plan for this park.
As the winner of the contest, G.V.L. has taken this opportunity to improve the quality of life despite the economic constraints.

Located in the South of Bogotá, this park can benefit more than two million inhabitants on the most populated zones of the Capital City where there is a lack of spaces for recreation and culture. Close to 80,000 visitors use this park in a weekend.

"Ciudad Salitre" is located in the center of the metropolitan area of the Capital City, Bogotá, and it has 245 hectares of extension. It represents the most important urban development in Colombia history provides the services of a very balanced city: housing, businesses, hotels and commercial, health and educational centers.
The urban space is based on the street-corridor as an element able to respond to the modern city and incorporating the avenue and the boulevard (designed following the park-way pattern) as functional and environmental elements.
The block as a basic unit, the neighborhood as a group and the street as public space organizer are essential urban elements.

G.V.L. as Green Plan designer and constructor for Ciudad Salitre, highlights the landscape potential in order to achieve better quality of life.
- Environmental Perimeter: Creation of a green belt.
- Foliage road: as principal axis.
- Gates: Access green zones as landmarks.
Recreational axis: Park avenues in which the trees on the circulation axis form a pedestrian roof improving the micro-climate and increasing the quality of urban scenery.
Along the perimetral borders the chromatic management of the vegetation as landscape language is outstanding.
"ZONA FRANCA DE BOGOTA"- Industrial Park

The industrial Zona Franca of goods and services is located in Fontibon, 2 Km from the international airport in the industrial area of the capital.

It has an area of 964.000 M2. From it, 25% is destined to green zones, sport facilities, and recreational areas for workers. In the future there is a plan of building a metropolitan park to preserve the ecosystem.

From the beginning of the project cooperated with the environmental studies made before the development of the terrain.

The Landscape Design was based on typification of roads, visual focal points, green areas, perimetral security ring with a natural barrier, etc., with vegetation suitable for this part of the city.
